compare, honestly
AgentPilots is an operator's dashboard for people who run many agents. Observability platforms are built for developers who trace and evaluate LLM apps. Here is how they differ, honestly, with sources.
AgentPilots vs AgentOps
SDK-based agent tracing and replay vs a no-SDK live status dashboard.
Open-source LLM observabilityAgentPilots vs Langfuse
Open-source tracing, evals and prompts vs live agent status over MCP.
LangChain platformAgentPilots vs LangSmith
LangChain's observability, evals and deployment vs a lightweight operator dashboard.
AI gateway + observabilityAgentPilots vs Helicone
Proxy-based AI gateway and request logging vs agent-reported live status.
Observability vs operations
AgentOps, Langfuse, LangSmith and Helicone answer "what exactly happened inside this LLM call or trace?". They are good at it, and if you are building an LLM product you probably want one of them. AgentPilots answers a different question: "which of my agents are working right now, which are waiting for me, and which have gone quiet?". It gets that from a small MCP connector your agents call, so there is no SDK to add and no proxy in front of your model calls. Many people will reasonably use both.
